Watch Rescued Puppy Mill Dogs Walk Freely For The First Time

National Mill Dog Rescue, a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting dogs from -- and educating the public about -- the harsh realities of puppy mills, recently rescued 75 dogs from mills in Kansas and Missouri before bringing them back to their headquarters in Colorado. Like most puppy mill dogs, the animals had been raised in huge breeding centers where their physical and emotional welfare was secondary to profit -- an attitude best exemplified by the fact that most of the puppies had never run freely. After sending 30 of the puppies to the Arizona Animal Welfare League, a partner organization in Phoenix, National Mill Dog Rescue posted this video of their rescues finally getting (and enjoying) their first chance to frolic in a small park.
