Truck Drivin' Dog Crashes Into Tree

He tried to run with the big rigs, but he probably should have stayed on the porch.

On Friday, a dog in Minnesota accidentally entered the exciting field of long haul trucking when the idling semi he was sitting in somehow shifted into gear.

His career, unfortunately, was brief.

After crossing a street and hopping a curb, the truck crashed into a tree and a parked car before finally coming to a stop.

Other than the dog's presumably bruised ego, however, no one was harmed.

Authorities later determined the truck's owner had left the vehicle unattended while going into a nearby store, but could not say if the dog himself put the truck into gear.

"All I know is it was a Labrador," a police spokesperson told the Mankato Free Press.
