Lou's Pet Shop in Detroit, Michigan doesn't need a sign telling patrons to "smile, you're on camera" - it usually happens anyways when they see the camera-operator.
For the last few years, the shop's resident tortoise, a 17-year-old sulcata named Franky, has been broadcasting a first-hand look at his daily life on the internet for all to see, via a webcam strapped on his back. And while the slow-motion meanderings of a tortoise might not sound too exciting at first, Franky has actually garnered quite a following.
"He gets about 10,000 viewers a month," shop owner Donnie Cook tells the New York Times. "We get people from at least 30 states, plus Italy, France."
