Tom Hardy Is Really, Really Happy To Be Cuddling All These Dogs

Celebrity is one particular phenomenon, and the infinitely astounding cuteness of dogs is another: Put them together?

Hearts explode.

So when British actor Tom Hardy visits the U.K.'s Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, each moment is captured deliciously on camera for Paul O'Grady's show For the Love of Dogs.

Hardy looks longingly at the dogs.

He makes faces at dogs ...

... and leans in for a kiss.

And dogs kiss him back.

It isn't the first time Hardy and dogs have come together to shatter our hearts with happiness.

Hardy has two dogs at home, and he gives them the royal treatment.

Before he leaves the house, he turns on the TV for them so they don't feel lonely. "I'm into Come Dine with Me at home, religiously. I'm an absolute fanatic," Hardy told Glamour, "I put it on for the dogs as well when I go out. They've got to feel that someone's in the house."

But Hardy doesn't often leave his dogs behind. He even has a history of bringing his dogs to red carpet events.

And smothering his dog with love in the public eye.

"Tom Hardy with dog is something I didn't know I needed until now," one Twitter user wrote.

Amen to that.
