The Humane League Named Top Charity By Animal Charity Evaluators

(December 1, 2015)- Today, Animal Charity Evaluators announced that The Humane League is once again a Top Charity in 2015, making it the fourth consecutive year THL has received the honor. The Humane League is the first organization to be named a Top Charity four years in a row. Based on seven criterion, (Room for Growth, Cost-Effectiveness, Mission Effectiveness, Understanding of Success & Failure, Track Record of Success, Leadership, and Transparency), The Humane League was ranked in the top three alongside Mercy for Animals and Animal Equality International.

According to ACE, The Humane League's most impressive accomplishment is its overall outlook and approach to advocacy. Among animal advocacy groups, THL makes strong efforts to assess its own programs and to look for and test out ways of improving them. THL excels at using studies and systematic data collection to guide its approach to advocacy. THL's success in applying these techniques to its online ads program, and publication of its research through Humane League Labs, has shifted the outlook and programming of several larger advocacy organizations toward finding the best ways to advocate for animals.

So why should you donate to The Humane League? According to Animal Charity Evaluators, every $1 THL spends saves 13.4 animals from life in industrial agriculture. In fact, in 2015 alone The Humane League was able to persuade Starbucks, Kellogg's, General Mills, Panera Bread, TGI Fridays, The Cheesecake Factory, and Black Bear Diner as well as 35 food service companies to commit to end the caging of egg-laying hens in their supply chains. So what are you waiting for?

In honor of #GIVINGTUESDAY and The Humane League's 10th Anniversary, some very generous supporters of THL have offered to triple every donation made (up to $200,000!). And it starts today. You can improve the lives of three times as many animals this holiday season by visiting : TheHumaneLeague.org/donate.
