Watch Swimmer's Close Encounter With Wild Orca Pod

One swimmer was taking a dip in New Zealand's Pelorus Sound when he was approached by a pod of curious wild orcas. Thankfully, he was able to capture video of the encounter. Several of the killer whales -- which can weigh up to six tons and usually range from 16 to 26 feet in length -- appear to be sizing up the man, swimming just close enough to get a good look before going about their own business. The pod stays nearby for another moment, allowing the man to catch a few more seconds of stunning underwater footage, before swimming off together.
