This guy was on a landing of a long staircase leading up to the Abbey at Mont St. Michel. A very vertical small village built on a rock jutting out into the North Sea. Back in the day, the tide used to come in and prevent anyone from leaving or entering the island. Now roads have been built that allow constant access to the island, making way for thousands of tourists to enter the site everyday. This day was grey with drizzle and as we left the tour of the abbey, exploring its nooks and crannies and impressively massive stonework, we found this cat, bundled up seemingly greeting the crowds as they huffed and puffed by on their way to the top.
