Stand In Pride With The Lions

There are times when we, as humans, are called to reach out and help our animal relations. This is one of those times.

The lions are asking for our help.

Lions are now subjected to canned and trophy hunting as they are NOT protected by law. Canned hunting is defined as the killing of captive born, tame lions in their cages. These lions are often drugged and are unable to protect themselves.

On March 15, 2014, people world-wide are connecting and coming together in the Global March for Lions, asking the South African government to ban canned hunting.

Christine Jordaan, who initiated the idea of this march, states "Our goals are to have trophy and canned hunting banned; to get lions on the Endangered Species List where they belong, to stop the export of lion bones to China, to stop the import of lion trophies in to USA and EU".

There are many ways you can show your support and stand in pride and harmony WITH the lions. Marches are being held the world over. Click here to see if a march is being held near your city. There is also the Global March for Lions Facebook page, Global March for Lions Website and the Tweet-storm to End Canned Hunting Facebook page. Because it is a fact: We All Do Better When ALL Creatures Do Better, and this is our chance to help the lions in South Africa live their lives free from canned and trophy hunting.
