SeaWorld On Defense -- Enlists Barbie For Help

Following the recent surge of boycotts and protests against the park in the wake of the documentary "Blackfish," SeaWorld is publicly pushing its holiday gift list, filled with an assemblage of SeaWorld-themed products -- some of which have already provoked ire on the internet.










PETA had previously slammed Mattel for the Barbie when the toy was unveiled last year, calling on the toy company to sever ties with SeaWorld. Now, others have taken to Twitter to protest the products:

SeaWorld has also unveiled its latest toy, a version of Monopoly called the The Monopoly® SeaWorld Wildlife Conservation Edition, made by game manufacturer USAopoly.

The SeaWorld press push follows a high-profile backlash of musical performers pulling out of scheduled appearances at SeaWorld. The eight acts are:

The only acts still scheduled to perform at SeaWorld are Scotty McCreery and Justin Moore, but both are targets of petitions to back out.
