‘Family Guy’ Slammed SeaWorld And It Was Perfect

On Thursday, SeaWorld announced an historic decision to stop its captive breeding program - potentially marking an end to orca captivity in the U.S.

While many cited the 2013 film "Blackfish" and the work of animal welfare groups as the forces behind the decision, the cause was also taken up by members of the public and pop culture - including celebrities and TV shows.

Earlier this month, Seth MacFarlane's "Family Guy" took a prophetic and characteristically unique swipe at the marine park. Judge for yourself, but we think it's pretty spot-on.

MacFarlane, the creator of "Family Guy," is no stranger to animal causes. He's spoken up for animal welfare on his film sets, and he tweeted his support for Cecil the lion when the iconic cat was killed illegally last year.

It looks like he was ahead of the curve on this one. We're just happy that life got a little more hopeful for SeaWorld's "Shampeters."
