Seal Pup Hops Aboard Hunter's Boat, Disarms Him

A pair of gun-toting duck hunters were aboard a layout boat on the Atlantic coast, raring to shoot some birds, when they were adorably accosted by a little seal pup. The animal, after hopping into the vessel, proceeded to lie atop one of the men -- boldly disarming him, at least momentarily.

"All I was thinking about was the thing biting my face because he was so close. I could feel his breath on my face. I was trying to dump it back in the water! Just didn't work," writes Jeremiah Brooks, who operates a hunting guide business.

Brooks suspects that the seal might have been seeking refuge from another type of predator, though it wasn't the only one feeling frightened.

"It was scary, cool and exciting all at the same time! That area of the Cape is known for sharks, maybe there was something in the water!"
