Rhinos At This Zoo Keep Figuring Out How To Escape
For the second time, rhinos at this zoo have managed to outwit their keepers, who, despite the title, have a rather tough time actually keeping anything.
On Sunday, an 8-year-old rhino named Tibor pulled off a daring escape from the Ramat Gan Safari zoo in Israel - by taking advantage of a silly oversight. Keepers apparently left a gate open.
Here's some rather comical security camera footage showing the moment Tibor casually strolls away, followed moments later by a hapless zoo staffer.
Tibor was rounded up after a few minutes and returned to captivity - though if history is any indicator, he might get another chance to break free before too long.
Last year, a trio of other rhinos at the same zoo also escaped and were later found playing around in the zoo's parking lot. Officials later said the guard on duty that day had fallen asleep, leaving two gates wide open.
A video from that incident appears to show the rhinos being ushered back into the zoo, followed by footage of their thrilling escape.
