Just weeks ago, no one believed this baby goat would be able to trot and hop as much as she does now.
On March 9, San Diego animal control officials received a call to check on a home in the area - the owner was in the hospital for unknown reasons and had left her pets unattended for an undetermined period of time. Most of the animals were fine, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports, save for one baby goat who was particularly emaciated. She was immedaitely taken into custody.
With the proper care and nourishment under San Diego animal control's careful watch, the goat, who is now around 25 days old, started to gain weight, transforming from an animal once on the verge of death to the happiest little girl, jumping and running after her caretaker at every turn.
