Reverse 'Homeward Bound': Lost Dog That Ran 50 Miles Away Reunites With Family
A lost dog in Massachusetts recreated the iconic 1993 film "Homeward Bound" when he returned after an epic 50-mile journey back to his worried family. Well, a sort of reverse "Homeward Bound," if you will.
The dog, a 9-month-old beagle named Silver, bolted away from the car when his family stopped on the highway earlier this week in Saugus, Mass. He was lost for two days and his family had nearly given up on finding him, reports Fox Boston. He was found 50 miles away in Billerica, where a stranger picked him up and brought him to animal control. He reportedly ran away from the town his family lived in along the highway the entire way.
But thanks to a Facebook post, Silver was returned back to his owners and is now safe and sound. We can only hope the reunion looked something like this:
