Raccoons Pull Together So Tiny Baby Doesn't Fall Behind

Sure, raccoons might not typically be thought of as the prettiest of animals. But there's beauty to be found in even the humblest creature - especially when seeing how dearly they care for one another.

While working night security at a high school in Missouri recently, police officer Chris Williams happened upon the sweetest little scene. A tiny baby raccoon, out for a walk with his mother and sibling, had been stopped in his tracks by a wall that was too tall to climb. But rather than leave him to surmount that obstacle alone, the furry family literally rallied together to help him overcome it.

"The mother raccoon leaned over the wall as the baby held onto her legs so she could reach out and grab the other baby and pull him up," Williams wrote on YouTube. "Great example of a mother's love and teamwork!"

Such scenarios no doubt play out on a nightly basis, albeit unseen - so it's nice to be reminded that the next animal sound you hear outdoors in the dark may very well be a little act of the heart.
