Sally showed up on a stranger's porch in Allentown, Pennsylvania, earlier this month. She was skinny, hungry, and, most alarmingly, bleeding from a deep gash in her head.
The people who found Sally alone and wounded on their porch called the local police, who rushed Sally to the nearby Lehigh County Humane Society for care.
The wound on Sally's head went all the way down to her skull, and looked to have been made by a hatchet or axe - meaning she was starved nearly to death and then attacked, likely by the same person. She must have been in tremendous pain.
