Rescued Pig Proves He Can Sit For Treats Just Like A Dog
More evidence has surfaced that a little rescued piglet is essentially just a puppy.
Wee Wee, who is believed to have fallen off a factory farm truck, was rescued by a family out skiing during the recent "Snowmaggedon."
As he warmed up, Wee Wee started showing just how playful his puppy-esque personality really was. Now that he's found a forever home in Maryland, at Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary, his inner canine is truly shining.
Recently, Wee Wee has learned to sit on command and wait patiently (usually) for a treat.
It's hard to think that more than 100 million pigs are slaughtered in the U.S. alone each year, and that each one has the potential to be as friendly as Wee Wee.
Thankfully, Wee Wee escaped that terrible fate, and has a chance to live a wonderful life.
Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary is run entirely on donations and provides care, rehabilitation and permanent sanctuary for neglected, abused or abandoned farm animals just like Wee Wee. Click here to learn how you can help.
