A fuzzy orphaned bear cub is getting fed from a bottle by his human foster family in eastern Russia.

After his mother was likely killed by poachers, Mishutka wandered up to a doorstep three weeks ago seeking help, and the Shcherbakov family took him in and fed him porridge and and milk from a refashioned beer bottle, Reuters reports.

Poaching is a problem for bears in Russia, where they are killed to meet demand for their parts in places like China, where bear gall bladders sell for top dollar.

Here's hoping this sweet bear cub can be brought to a sanctuary or rehabilitation center, where he can learn the wild skills he needs to be released back into the woods he'd call home.
