Comedian Lewis Black isn't a fan of cruelty toward elephants. And Tuesday night on "The Daily Show," he voiced his craggy opinion with a righteous salvo of jokes aimed at circuses that treat animals poorly.

Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, which recently announced its elephants will be retired by 2018, may have chained elephants for up to 22 hours a day, according to the Humane Society of the United States. Upon hearing this, Black unleashed his inner angry old man. "That's insane! You can't do that to elephants!" he said. "You can't even do that to Dakota Johnson!"
