Sometimes a cat just needs a little alone time - and this Connecticut kitty is no different. She stood at the door of her home and refused to let her humans indoors for over three hours on Wednesday night.
And that's when her owner called 911. On a cat.
"I have a problem in my home," the bewildered man told the 911 dispatcher. "Me and my wife have come outside and now we can't go inside."
The 911 operators were understandably confused about what, exactly, the man wanted police to do about the kitty, who was hissing in warning every time her humans tried to come back indoors, WSFB reported. But as it turned out, the cat had just had a kitten the night before, and was simply feeling extra protective about her new baby.
Eventually the owners headed back inside, with the sound advice to just give their kitty some space for the rest of the night.
