On a recent trip to Kenya, a wildlife photographer named Chris Bray brought a favorite toy on safari -- then sent it out to play with a lioness and her two baby cubs when he spotted them along the way. Bray and his crew attached a GoPro camera to the top of a remote-controlled truck, then "drove" it within range of a group of lion cubs, who noticed the potential plaything almost immediately. As Bray explained to GoPro, "one of the lion cubs was a bit more curious than the other," and he got nice and close to the camera. It seems the skeptical little lion just wanted to play.
Of course, when repeated attempts to elicit a response from the car failed, things got tense -- then a little boring, from the cubs' perspective. Without sufficient stimulation, the baby lions decided on a better way to spend the afternoon: taking a nap with mom.
