Koala Mom Takes Her Kid For A Piggy Back Ride Through Town
Mothers really are the best - and this koala mom is certainly no exception.
Video has emerged showing the fluffy grey parent out and about with her baby, whom she carried on her back in the town of McLaren Flat, in South Australia. It's not every day that a koala family decides to descend from the trees for a stroll through suburbia, but mom still had the good sense to stick to the sidewalk.
Her baby is clearly in good hands.
While koalas are known to accept help from humans in times of distress, it wasn't the case in this scenario. According to Emma Barry, who happened upon the sweet little scene last week with her husband, the mother marsupial didn't seem lost. Turns out, she apparently already had a destination in mind.
"After we stopped filming she went down the driveway of the house and headed to their garden," Barry told Australian Broadcasting Corporation. "Such a beauty!"
This isn't the first time we've seen the love of koala moms firsthand - and knowing mothers, we're sure it won't be the last.
