Jon Stewart: Why Chris Christie Puts Politics Before Pigs

New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie has been taking some serious flack for his reticence to pass a bill that would ban the use of gestation crates in the state. Now, late-night host Jon Stewart is getting into the fray.

The bill, already passed by the state legislature, would completely outlaw the small crates, which keep breeding pigs from turning around or extending their limbs for 80 percent of their lives.

Christie has been less than willing to pass the bill, despite claims from The Humane Society of the United States that say that the pigs are driven to psychosis by their confinement. But, as Stewart points out on "The Daily Show," there's more than just pigs at stake here - politics are apparently a major player, too:
