Meloney Blazye had just woken up for work one morning last week and was wandering into the bathroom to brush her teeth when she noticed that something was in her cat’s bed — and it certainly was not the cat.
“As I was passing the kitchen, I noticed these rather large ears,” Blazye told The Dodo. “I had one foot in the bathroom and one foot in the hall, and stepped back to look again. Yes, those were not cat ears!”
They belonged to a fox — who had wandered in through an open window and had taken the place of Blazye’s cat in the cat bed while the feline was outside in the garden.
Blazye switched on the light, and instead of darting away through the window from which he came, the fox just stared back at her.
