Adorable Video Shows Mother Moose Helping Her Baby Cross The Road

He’s SO LITTLE 😍

Living in Alberta, Canada, Steve Muise is used to seeing plenty of deer and fawns around the forest — but last week, he saw a mother-child pair that warmed his heart even more.

As he was driving back home from a trip to Edmonton, Muise and his wife, Lalaine, noticed a mother moose who had recently given birth waiting at the side of the road with her newborn calf.

They stopped the car, in awe of how sweet the tiny baby was. Fur slicked down and legs still wobbly, the little calf followed right after his mom safely across the street.

The Muises just looked on, recording the sweet scene and waving down approaching motorists to give the animals their space.

“Not many have seen calves that young,” Steve Muise told The Dodo. “I think it was just born within hours.”

After the new little family made their way to the other side of the road, Muise drove home with a beautiful reminder of just how special the bond between animal mom and child is.

Since posting the video of the cute encounter online, it’s been viewed thousands of times — and Muise is so glad he’ll be able to remember the special moment forever.

There’s nothing sweeter than to see the bond of a family — and it is the season for babies, after all.

“I’m a driving instructor, and my students were amazed,” Muise said of the video. “One of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.”
