Hero Firefighters Leap Into Action To Save Dog Hit By Car

Firefighters from Engine 36 in Clearview, Washington are being hailed as heroes for their commitment to helping save a life that many others might written-off without a second thought.

While driving back to the station after a call last week, the first responders saw a dog get hit by a car and land in a ditch on the side of the road. Although no one would have faulted them for continuing on their way, the crew instead stopped to rescue the severely injured animal, loading her onto a backboard and rushing her to a nearby animal hospital.

Thankfully, the firefighters' quick-thinking gave veterinarians enough time to stabilize the dog. According to KOMO News, the lucky pet was reunited with her owners and is now recovering home.
