During the recent heatwave, Simon went out to rescue a hedgehog that had fallen into the balcony of a basement flat. The hedgehog was seeking refuge in a flower pot, where he was probably planning to stay until dusk. Hedgehogs usually hide and sleep in dark places during the day, that is why we couldn't have left it there, under the burning sun. After some water and rest in a cool place at the hospital, he was released in Lucy's (Wildlife Aid's vet nurse) garden.
