George And Amal Clooney Adopt ANOTHER Rescue Dog

One of the world's most famous couples thrilled an Ohio animal shelter when they gave a rescue dog a second chance.

George and Amal Clooney are no strangers to the rescue community - their basset hound, Millie, was adopted from San Gabriel Valley Humane Society in California.

Now, they've rescued Nate, a terrier from LuvFurMutts Animal Rescue in Cincinnati, Ohio.

"Nate the Terrier came to LuvFurMutts from a hoarding case of 22 dogs; we took 11 of them," the shelter wrote in a Facebook post. "Some of these dogs [were] fat, but not our Nate. You could count the ribs on him."

Because of Nate's physical defects - a barrel chest, a swaying leg - he was having trouble finding a home. "When we took Nate to adoption events, people would stare and kids would point," the shelter wrote.

But just before Christmas, Nate's luck changed. The Clooneys came across his story online, then sent YouTube clips of Nate to George's parents, who had just lost their dog of 10 years.

According to the shelter, George asked his father, Nick, how he felt about the way Nate walked. "I guess it sounds like he gets around just as good as we do anymore," Nick reportedly replied.

By Christmas Eve, Nate was delivered safely to George's parents - where he will spend the rest of his life in well-deserved comfort. To respect the Clooneys' privacy, LuvFurMutts chose not to publicize the adoption story until last week.

"Our Nate is loved and in his forever home and he will be spoiled the rest of his life," the shelter wrote. "It's truly a fairytale ending for Prince Nate ... or should we say ... a perfect Hollywood movie ending!"
