Dog Who Lost His Owner In Italy Earthquake Doesn't Want To Say Goodbye
They were inseperable until the very end.
In the aftermath of a devastating earthquake in central Italy that killed nearly 300 people, survivors have started the incredibly difficult task of burying their loved ones.
The quake, which took place last Wednesday, not only took lives but changed lives as well - including the life of one dog who couldn't bear to say goodbye.
In photos that have gone viral, a cocker spaniel named Flash is seen leaning against the casket of his owner, Andrea Cossu. He reportedly refused to leave the spot and pawed at the casket repeatedly during a mass funeral when Cossu was buried on Friday. The two were known to be an inseparable duo.
Cossu died after a building fell on him in the village of Pescara del Tronto, where he was vacationing, the Telegraph reported. He was 45 years old. Thankfully, Flash isn't alone and has Cossu's wife to continue watching over him.
Flash's heartbreaking show of dedication proves that dogs really are man's best friend - even up until the very end.
