How To Turn Your Old End Table Into A Cozy Pet Bed
There's nothing like a little doggie DIY.
Do-it-yourself website Best Out of Waste has released a tutorial showing resourceful readers how to upcycle an old end table - we all have that one with the weird 70s-era stain job, right? - into a regal pet bed for our favorite furry friends.
Since pets are the kings and queens of the house anyway, the beds should be as royal as possible.
Start with your end table, flipped over.
Drill four holes in the table's outside corners, then screw in four bun feet. Bun feet are usually used to stabilize tables and chairs, and will always have a "flattened sphere" shape. You can find them at most home improvement stores.
Then, get painting! Funky stripes, straightforward white, a glorious decoupage of pet photos - it's up to you.
The finishing touch? A luxurious cushion. And a perfectly pleased pet, of course.
A matching piece of wall art is optional but highly encouraged. Ask your pet beforehand, though. He or she may have other ideas for the space.
