EMTs in Wisconsin rescued three newborn piglets and are nursing them back to health this week, after the animals nearly died in a barn fire. After giving the animals oxygen, just three of the eight piglets in the barn survived and were transported in an ambulance. Sadly, several other pigs, including the piglets' mom, died in the fire. But EMTs are hopeful for the rescued pigs.
"One of them was breathing very loudly and heavily and using extra muscles to breathe," said EMT Tonya Schutts. "They've gotten some breathing treatments throughout the night one is getting a low dose of pain medication," said Schutts.
