Eminem parody music video 'Fund Yourself' by Nicola Ferguson aka Crazy Cat Shady. Filmed as part of a crowdfunding campaign to try and raise the money I need to complete my veterinary degree. I have completed three years already, including winning a prestigious scholarship & also a prize for my thesis on Dangerous Dogs and BSL (or Dangerous Owners which would be more accurate). However I can't finish my degree without your help as the recession wiped out all of my savings, then I lost my job and then both my beloved elderly cats Holly and Poppy were diagnosed with tumors. Not to mention I was diagnosed with Aspergers and had a major operation on my knee. Enough bad luck for a lifetime never mind three years! So I sold my home to pay for their radiotherapy. Thankfully their hyperthyroidism is cured, but they both now have chronic kidney disease. Selling my home to have more time with them is worth it though. They are the love of my life.
I gave up the chance to be a vet the first time aged 16 to nurse my mother who was dying of bowel cancer. She was the last of my family and I became an orphan with no living relatives after she died. Now, after working in a job I hated for many years to get the money to be a veterinarian - just as I thought I could qualify at long last, I lose my chance all over again - beaten down (but not out) by more tumors. I will be am amazing vet if you help me get there. My crowdfunding campaign video and Eminem Parody Music Video can be found by clicking on the link If everyone who watches the video donates just £1 - or better still £10 or more - then as long as we can get this video to go viral and enough people donate, I can go back to university and become a veterinarian. I am committed to charity work , having worked for the international charity The Donkey Sanctuary and having spent many hours helping to re-home stray animals - particularly cats as they are often the underdog (or undercat as the case may be), particularly when it comes to re-homing animals abroad where dogs and horses get much of the funds and attention. Any good wishes, prayers & virtual hugs all very gratefully accepted as I know times are hard for everyone just now. Holly and Poppy say 'meow'
