No offense to this surfer, but his competition is pretty stiff. It's to be expected though, from a surfer who spends his every moment in the ocean.
This isn't actually such unusual behavior -- lots of dolphins have been spied surfing in the waves off beaches, which others trail behind speeding boats to catch a wave. The behavior is called wake-riding , and it's known as a playful one among marine mammal researchers. Dolphins and whales can speed along with very little effort when riding in the wakes -- a sensation that all surfers, dolphin and human alike, can enjoy.
