No One Can Tell If This Is A Dog Or A Bath Mat

What do you think? šŸ•µļøā€ā™€ļø

Ever since she was a puppy, Zuri has always been a master at blending in.

ā€œSince sheā€™s small, she definitely gets difficult to find even in our own house at times,ā€ Apra Jain, Zuriā€™s mom, told The Dodo. ā€œShe especially blends in with all things black, but also if, say, sheā€™s under a table, itā€™ll take us at least a few minutes to realize sheā€™s been there all along.ā€

Being small, black and fluffy, in the right location and under the right circumstances, little Zuri can be almost impossible to spot.

When Zuri was a puppy and especially tiny, her family would put her in things to carry her around sometimes. They always made sure she was safe and comfortable, of course, and it was an easy way to get the sleepy puppy from place to place.

One day, Zuri was cuddled up in a basket, and her mom realized that if you didnā€™t know Zuri was in there, you would totally think that it was a furry mat in a laundry basket or something. The black, fuzzy lump bore very little resemblance to a dog at all.

ā€œAlthough itā€™s always been a task to tell her head area apart from her backside (she really does look like a rug/black cloud when lying down), when I saw her in the basket it became even more difficult for me to tell where her eyes were,ā€ Jain said.

Jain decided she couldnā€™t pass up the opportunity to take a photo of the amazing disappearing Zuri ā€” and when she posted it online recently, people were seriously stumped.

All snuggled up in the basket, Zuri really did look like a fuzzy black bathmat or something, and both the photo and the realization that it was actually a dog in there brought so many people a lot of joy.

Zuri may be a little bigger now than she was as a puppy, but sheā€™s still pretty great at hiding, and never passes up an opportunity to hone her skills.
