Police Pull Over Distracted Driver — And Realize There’s A 250-Pound Pig On His Lap
That explains things 😂
When cops pull over drivers for being distracted, it's usually because they're trying to text or eat behind the wheel.
So when an officer in Minnesota recently pulled over a car and found a 250-pound pig in the driver's seat, he had quite a few questions.
Sgt. Jason Foster was patrolling in Chisago County when he noticed the distracted driver. When he looked in the window, he was shocked to see one pig in the driver’s lap and another smaller pig next to the driver’s seat, Foster told KMSP-TV.
Both pigs were pets, and seemed to pose for a picture when Foster pulled out his phone to snap a photo of the funny sight.
"It’s right up there in the top 10 of the crazy things we see,” Foster said.
The smaller pig is shown standing next to the driver’s seat, while the large pig takes center stage on his dad’s lap.
As the owner explained to Foster, he was in the process of moving to another part of the state and didn’t want his pet pigs to get cold during the trip.
While the pigs were definitely an adorable surprise for Foster, when traveling by car with pets, it’s recommended to first place them into secure, well-ventilated crates or carriers inside the car.
However, Foster let the owner off with a warning — reminding him that driving animals around unsecured can become very dangerous, especially if that animal is a 250-pound pig.
“Having a pig on your lap ... now that was a first — even for us,” Foster joked on Twitter afterwards.
