Patrick Stewart's New Foster Dog Can't Stop Smiling At Him

"She’s terribly sweet, and so so good. Sensitive, intelligent, and gentle ... all wrapped up in 38 pounds of pocket pittie-mix love."

Many people might say that Sir Patrick Stewart is famous for his iconic roles in television, movies and even on stage — but dog lovers know that one of the most important parts Stewart has played is as a homeless pit bull's foster dad in his real life.

This was back in 2017 — and Ginger has since been adopted by a loving family.

But now Stewart is at it again.

"Meet Emma," Stewart wrote on Twitter earlier this month, "our new foster girl from the beautiful folks at Wags and Walks. She’s terribly sweet, and so so good. Sensitive, intelligent, and gentle ... all wrapped up in 38 pounds of pocket pittie-mix love."

In a just a few days, Emma and Stewart have apparently bonded quite swiftly. Recent footage shows them napping on the couch together, and Emma seems to be unable to stop smiling as she looks at Stewart snoring away in a sleep mask.

When Stewart fostered Ginger, their relationship became something of a legend. The bond between them was so strong, there was speculation that Stewart would be a foster fail

But Stewart splits his time between the U.S. and the UK, and breed-specific legislation (BSL) made it impossible for Stewart to bring a pit bull into the UK with him.

Even though Stewart's life doesn't allow for him to keep a pit bull, he's doing something almost everyone can: giving one a place to stay while waiting for a forever home.
