Chris Evans Tries To Groom His Dog Himself And It Doesn't Go Quite As Planned
“It went so wrong, so fast."
With so many businesses temporarily closed right now, a lot of people are adapting the “do-it-yourself” mentality when it comes to some things — including dog grooming. Unfortunately, grooming your dog yourself isn't as easy as it looks, and actor Chris Evans recently found that out the hard way.
The "Captain America" actor adopted his dog Dodger several years ago, and the pair have been the best of friends ever since. They love posing for pictures together for all of Evans’ fans, so of course, Dodger has to make sure he’s always looking cute and presentable. Since Evans can’t take Dodger to the groomers right now, he decided to try giving his furry friend a haircut himself — and it definitely did not go as planned.
“I assured him I knew what I was doing,” Evans wrote in a post on Twitter. “He seemed skeptical at first, but with the help of a few treats, I talked him into it.”
Apparently, though, Evans did not know what he was doing, and Dodger’s haircut came out much patchier than he’s used to.
“It went so wrong, so fast,” Evans wrote. “I guess some things are better left to the professionals. (He hasn’t seen a mirror yet. I told him it looks great.)”
Even though the haircut didn’t turn out exactly the way he thought it would, Evans totally meant well, and hopefully Dodger doesn’t mind his new look too much. Lucky for him, he’s pretty cute no matter what kind of haircut he has.
Evans definitely has many talents — but now we all know that dog grooming isn’t one of them.
