Ponch was taken to San Francisco County Animal Care and, if no one steps forward to claim him in five days, will be put up for adoption. Although a collar was found around the Chihuahua's neck, it appears no other identifying information pointing toward a home was available.
"We've had dogs on the bridge, all sorts of animals: seals, turtles, you name it. We never had one that took off and took so long to get," Williams told the Los Angeles Times.
But most importantly, this little guy who caused quite the commotion is finally out of harm's way.
