Police officers arrived on the scene and opened the car door, rescuing the grateful bulldog. The owner returned a short time later to find a crowd around her car. The ASPCA will pick up the case, and may charge the owner with animal cruelty, the Cliffview Pilot reported.
Urman posted the photos and stories about her role in the rescue to her personal Facebook page, saying "Let your neighbors know this is not OK. Fi Fi could have perished in a car that reached 110-120 degrees. Thank you Tenafly PD."
