Meet Brynn Elizabeth Petersen aka Brynncess. Brynn lives in Dallas, Texas.

Brynn has story she would like to tell you.

Many years ago when Brynn was 6 months old her owner, Ryan, was hit by an SUV. Brynn was 6 feet away when it happened. Ryan's heart stopped 3 times that night. He needed 23 pints of blood. In total Ryan underwent 28 surgeries to the tune of $1,000,000. Brynn got so scared at the accident that she ran away. No one knew where she was for a week or so. On a trip to pick up some clothes for Ryan in the hospital a friend of Ryan's over heard someone talking about a great puppy they found. Turns out Brynn ran all the way home to Ryan's apartment and waited at the door for him to come home. Only he didn't come home. A neighbor saw Brynn sitting there at Ryan's on the way to work the day after the accident. To the neighbor's surprise Brynn was still sitting there when he returned home. He brought Brynn home. Upon hearing Brynn's story he gladly returned Brynn to Ryan.

Brynn learned to be Ryan's service dog. She helped and continues to help Ryan. She comforted him during hard times asking nothing for herself. She showed Ryan about unconditional love. About true forgiveness. She was there when Ryan was sad and hurting.

Ryan was so touched by her that he started to learn everything he could about caring for her and training her. Which lead Ryan to sign up for dog obedience instructor school. Brynn learned how to pull Ryan in his wheelchair. She learned public etiquette.

Brynn has visited public events, schools, grocery stores, restaurants, churches, hospitals, and even a christian rap concert.

Brynn has changed opinions and minds her whole life. She has dozens of heart felt stories. One example is she changed the policy at a local apartments from no pit bulls ever to allowing pit bulls. The office manager there is even searching for a pit bull service dog like Brynn for own needs. She is mom approved by dozens of moms. Brynn is kid safe, cat safe, dog safe, and even horse safe.

One of Brynn's coolest jobs is with Ryan. She is an assistant obedience instructor. She helps Ryan rehabilitate and train other dogs. She has helped dogs with every thing from aggression to fear. She can tell Ryan what a dog is thinking. She provides confidence for those lacking it. She provides balance for those needing it. She has helped 80 dogs so far including her fellow pit bulls. She also helps with a reactive pit bull class every month as an example and as a dog for reactive dogs to practice socializing with.

Brynn wants you to know all this to say she is not alone. There are other great pit bulls. She wants to say good dogs come in every breed. It's not about blaming a breed. It's about humans taking responsibility. Dogs are a reflection of human behavior.
