A pair of bald eagles in Minnesota brought home a duck to feed their young chicks -- but they didn't realize they'd be gaining another chick in the process. The duck had an egg with it which -- instead of eating -- the birds rolled into their nest along side their feeding chicks. In a fascinating show of animal behavior, the female then moved to sit on top of the egg as if it were her own.

No news yet as to what will happen to the chick -- but you can follow the eagles' story at their livestream here.
