Baby Polar Bear Goes Outside For The Very First Time

Nervous to leave the den? Catch a ride with your mom.

In a series of gorgeous photos captured by conservation photographer Daisy Gilardini, a 4-month-old polar bear cub in Canada's Wapusk National Park prepares for his first trip out of the cave.

And this lil cub isn't the only one who made a brave journey. According to Caters News Agency, Gilardini spent 117 hours - 2 weeks - waiting for the duo to emerge from their den, battling winds of up to 43 miles per hour.

We think it was worth the wait.
