A seasoned wildlife photographer was giving guests a tour of the African landscape when he spotted something that gave even him a shock.
In the distance, two elephant calves were standing side by side with a mother elephant. The babies were the exact same size. Ross Couper knew he had to capture the moment.
There were no other cows in the area, according to Couper, which led them to believe the calves really were twins. "Unfortunately this was the only picture I managed to capture," Couper told The Dodo about his remarkable photo, which was taken in the Sabi Sands Game Reserve, next to South Africa's Kruger National Park.
