Baby Badger With Failing Kidneys Valiantly Recovers And Finds Friend
This female baby badger cub was found curled up in a bush, by a dog walker. She arrived extremely weak and dehydrated, as a result of severe diarrhea. We put her on a drip and ran various tests. The first 48 hours were very critical, so we kept a very close eye on her.
The next day she was feeling a bit better. She was still on a drip, but had started to drink by herself. She was very tired and went back to bed after a short drink. A few days later, she was feeling much better! Her blood results were almost back to normal, she was bright and she was eating (a lot) by herself! We are very happy with her amazing progress. Her future is looking much better now, even if she is still fragile. She will be moved in with other badger cubs soon, to get the company and comfort she needs.
