Rare Disorder Won't Stop Pit Bull From Bursting With Excitement

People mean well when they look at Cuda, shake their head and murmur, "Tsk, tsk. Poor dog". Cuda has short spine syndrome, a rare genetic condition that results in quite the distinct appearance. Her spine is hemispheric and fused near her neck and rear. She has a larger-than-life-under bite. |
Julie LeRoy

It's not that I don't understand what prompts the sympathetic looks and comments. Her sloped profile makes her look like a weary senior citizen, yet she's looked like this her entire life. I can assure you she is not in pain and she does not know she is different than other dogs. She is happy, able-bodied and prefers attention over sympathetic looks.

Watch her run jagged circles around Maggie. Try not to truly "LOL". Bet you can't.
