Fun-Loving Pup Keeps Crashing Other People's Parties

He lives near an event venue and loves to break in — especially when there's food.

No invitation? No problem.

That’s apparently the party-minded mantra of this friendly pup who, so it seems, simply can’t resist joining in on other people’s good times.

Lucas Valéo is a photographer from Brazil. A few months ago, he was hired to snap photos at an event space in a rural region outside São Paulo. As the party being hosted there got underway, Valéo noticed a random dog mingling among the attendees out back (where food was being served).

No one seemed to know the pup, but Valéo devoted a moment to take his picture. Turns out, however, the dog being there wasn’t so random after all.

Earlier this month, Valéo was once again hired on to take photos at a party held in the same venue. After stopping to snap a shot of one of the guests, Valéo realized there was a familiar face in the background.

It was the same party-crashing pup as before — only this time, he’d evidently been busted by a bouncer for wandering onto the dance floor.

The dog showed little regret.

Later on, Valéo decided to post the photo online, captioning it: “When you didn’t pay the entrance fee …” This dog, Valéo came to find out, simply never did.

“The owner of the venue told me the dog is almost always there,” Valéo told The Dodo.

Here’s a photo, shared by another person who’d been to a party at the same spot. Sure enough, the dog was in attendance then, too.

Word of the dog soon went viral, leading many to speculate that he was a stray simply out looking for affection. So, with that in mind, Valéo decided he'd try to help the dog get adopted.

But eventually the truth came out: He just likes to party.

As Valéo began to investigate, he came to learn that the dog was known by many around the rural town. His name is Dingo, and he already has a home — and it's exactly where you might expect.

"I live next to the party venue," Dingo's owner told The Dodo. "Whenever someone is having a party, he will go. He makes a little escape and goes there."

While sneaking into events uninvited certainly isn't the best habit for a pup, it's nice to know he has a place to return to after running afoul of the bouncers.

We can only hope Dingo will party responsibly in the future.
