Cat Filter Accidentally Makes Political Live Stream Hilarious

Everything's better with cats.

With the flip of the wrong switch, people running a Facebook live stream accidentally discovered a way to make politics strangely delightful

A press conference was taking place in Pakistan last week when several officials were suddenly transformed.

One moment, they were discussing orders of business as regular human beings — the next moment they had sprouted feline whiskers and pink, pointed ears.

Shaukat Yousafzai, a journalist who has also previously served as a local minister of health, continued making his point on screen, having no idea that he appeared to be part-feline. When one of his comrades started to respond to Yousafzai's point, he, too, became a cat

“I wasn’t the only one. Two officials sitting along me were also hit by the cat filter,” Yousafzai said. “The cat filter was turned on by mistake. Let’s not take everything so seriously.”

The political party swiftly deleted the video of the live stream and issued a clarification, calling the incident a "human error." But some perfectly timed screenshots immortalize the moment. One tweeter rightly commented: "Looks kinda cute."

Considering how much laughter this human error has caused across the internet, it might as well be remembered as a happy accident.
